The oldest operating piece of Stranahan’s is officially retiring! “Charlene” the bottling machine has been a vital part of the Stran-a-fam since 2006. During her 17 years of whiskey service, Charlene has bottled countless Stranahan’s bottles, 25 batches of Snowflake, 8 Cask Thiefs, and the oldest American Single Malt ever produced, The Osopher.
Charlene is an icon amongst those who have visited the distillery and participated in Volunteer Bottling. To celebrate Charlene’s storied tenure, we’re throwing a retirement party on our patio!
As part of the celebration, Stranahan’s will be un-vaulting old and rare expressions of Stranahan’s that Charlene has bottled over the years. Guests will have the unique opportunity to purchase these rare expressions as drams.
Charlene will also be on display as part of her official send off!

The four un-vaulted whiskeys will be available for purchase as a pre-fixed flight for $35 or as individual drams (prices will vary) starting Friday, June 23. These special expressions will return to the vault after Monday, June 26.
