Tin Cup whiskey was inspired by an old mining town set on the western side of the Rockies named after the old cups the miners would drink from. The name TINCUP Whiskey and the cap on the bottle are both nods to this piece of Colorado history.
Jess Graber, the founder of TINCUP whiskey, wanted to give a nod to the old miners that were some of the original whiskey drinkers in Colorado, and to the tin cup that they would drink out of during their work day.
Since they got popular, TINCUP has been a staple whiskey of not only Colorado, but around the country as well.
